Letters In

If you wish someone
would write to you

Tell us where you are. Not your address — your interior weather. What you're sitting with this week. Who you wish would write to you. We read every one. We write back, on the site, when a letter finds us — sometimes within a week, sometimes when the right words arrive. There's no promise of a personal reply, only a promise that you've been heard.

We'll know it arrived. We won't always reply, but we'll always read.

Or — have something to say?

Write your own letter.

The archive is built by the women in it. If Finland has shaped you — softly or strangely, recently or years ago — there is a woman just arriving who needs to hear from you.

Write the way you'd write to one woman, not to an audience. The smallest details are usually the truest ones. Take your time. We read every letter with care. Not every one finds its way into the archive — but if yours does, we'll edit gently when it's needed, never your voice, only the typos.

We read every letter that finds us.
